The history of the brand has its roots in the distant Crimean War, when the raincoats were employed by the British Army to protect soldiers. At that time, the Aquascutum had a strict military style, but became quickly known even among the gentlemen of the time that they began to wear them. Later, the brand becomes official producer for the men of the Royal Air Force. In the 50s, introduces a cotton gabardine and shimmering satin or flannel lining and a little later expands its production to new pret-a-porter models. 
Today Aquascutum is renowned for producing waterproof clothing, elegant and luxurious. The brand expresses great precision and attention to detail that makes each piece of clothing original and inimitable style.
